As part of its integral service approach, Romer Labs offers a Check Sample Survey program for mycotoxins twice per year. The next upcoming round will include Deoxynivalenol/Zearalenone/Ochratoxin A in wheat and is open to participants using a variety of detection methods and systems.

In the past we have offered this service at no cost. However, due to the increases in the preparation and management costs of this program, Romer will now be charging $75 (97.50 CAD) per sample.

Another major difference is that the registration process has been updated. Moving forward, an order must be placed through our customer service team using the following part number: 10002324. All orders must be received by April 30, 2023.

Objective:

The objective of Romer Labs Check Sample Survey is to provide an interlaboratory comparison study of DON/ZON and/or OTA analysis in wheat and a platform for laboratories to assess the effectiveness and accuracy of their test methods as part of their internal analytical quality management.

Test Material:

Each participant will receive a foil sachet of approximately 60 g of a homogeneous and characterized test material, which has to be re-sealed properly and stored at 2-8 °C after usage.

Who Should Participate:

The Romer Labs Check Sample Survey is targeted to industry labs and service labs that perform mycotoxin analysis on a routine basis. The method employed for analysis is up to the participating laboratory.

Timeline:

• Order deadline for participation: April 30th 2023

• Distribution of reports to participants: End of June 2023
